I'm sorry for you if you weren't there

I don't normally put family pictures on this public blog, but once in a while an occasion comes along that calls for nothing less than a shout from the rooftop, so to speak.

This would be one of those occasions.

It makes me grin, well, like the Cheshire cat to say that we were fortunate enough to celebrate the 90th birthday of the best mama in the world.

And speaking of the Cheshire cat, we celebrated with an  unbirthday party.

And it was great.

It was held in the perfect place (her old school building), and there was some seriously good food (a fish supper - her favorite):

But what we really enjoyed and appreciated, were the members of her fan club that came to celebrate:

Now THESE are some classy ladies:

They still remember how their brother used to aggravate them so he had to have his picture made separately:

(Truth is I had to fight real hard to get this picture of him - he kept hiding his face from the camera).

And then there's T-R-O-U-B-L-E just waiting to happen:

My brothers and my sister and sisters-in-law worked hard and did a fine job.

Happy 90th un-birthday to Miss Alice:

We love you.  (I love you the most)

And happy birthday to you! Think of what your mama started. Think of how she changed the world. She must have felt really appreciated. You all do it up right!
