An Observation

So here's the scene:

Trick or Treating last night, involving:

The Pre-Schooler;
The Mom;
The Dad;
The GG (that being me)

The Pre-Schooler is, in her own words, "a little bit shy" when it comes to going up, knocking on the door of a grown-up's house and actually saying the words "Trick or Treat" to that grown-up.

So when it comes to needing that little boost of confidence, enter: a) The Mom, or b) The GG, to go up to the Grownup's door with the Pre-Schooler.

Howsomever, venturing on down the street, said Pre-Schooler spies a scarier looking critter than she cares to be around and neither The Mom nor The GG have the requirements for this job.

It's Big Daddy time when the big bad wolves/skeletons/whatevers are close by.

Little girls need their daddies when the scary monsters rear their ugly heads. No matter what the age of little girls and no matter what the scary monster is.

Just an observation of a GG.

It is all about dad!

Is it Nature or is it Nurture? Isn't it complex how little ones seem almost predestined to have certain idiosyncrasies? Your little one is blessed to have all of you.
